Art4Space at Brixton Market

ART4SPACE FAMILY ENTERPRISE CHALLENGE have got 2 stalls at Brixton Market. The local families have been creating wonderful artwork to sell. Come and take a look. Funded by Lambeth Council.

Brixton Children’s Market, Brixton Station Road, 29th June 2013

Organised by the Brixton Market Traders Federations (operators of Brixton Station Road Community Market) with funding from London Community Foundation. Run by staff and volunteers on the day.

There’ll be workshops and activities for children aged 3-12, info stalls from some wonderful local children’s projects and services, and traders selling treats & treasure for everyone young and young at heart.

Sing-a-long from Ruby rhymes, Magic show from Magic Simon, flower planting, classic games sessions, workshops from traders. All free or for a small donation.

Most of all we just want to have extreme amounts of fun on the street! But here are our more grown-up aims for the event…

● We want to make sure children and parents of young children can be included and are engaged in the ever strengthening street market culture on Brixton Station Road.

● We want to be able to showcase some of what the local area has to offer to children and young people by inviting relevant organisations to be at the event and running activities and workshops by local people and traders.

● We want to be able to provide an opportunity for small independent businesses to promote themselves.
