Wendy presented at Royal Academy of Art

Huge congratulations to Wendy for presenting her work and talent at the ‘In Practice – Royal Academy of Arts’ event. Wendy has written a bit how it was to present:

Standing in front of a room mostly of about 50-60 strangers talking about my work and my journey.

Opening up myself with my faults and shortcomings to be vulnerable, but ultimately myself my unique pictures paintings sculptures photos things that make me and things I capture and express are the things I think about and choose to share and that’s what I did in my talk at the Royal Academy In-Practice Talk, and instead of feeling bad like I had for many decades about my many problems, I felt good about telling people about my ADHA, my crippling grief, and struggles to be an artist, and continue and finding that I need this to exist and express. Sometimes in other works purge because sometimes 100 words can be expressed better in an art work because those words are gone, the art work is tangible and burns in time and space, words are waves that float away with sound.
