The magic of Magenta – Reflection from Natti
For those that I have not seen on some time, won’t know that I have started an Arts Councillor course. It has been wonderful being immersed in artwork, learning more about myself as well as honing in my therapeutic skills.
My brain has been stretched in new ways, and in true steiner learning fashion we have been tapping into nature, exploring our feelings, and thinking about health positivity asking the questions of why some people get sick while others do not.
This week, we have been diving into colours and today we looked at Magenta. It’s such a powerful colour, it has been called “Magic Rose” and the mystery colour because there is no light wavelength for magenta. Our brains make it up – You don’t see it in the rainbow.
However if you draw a white line of chalk onto a black piece of paper there it is; Magenta in all its glory! Since learning all about this fantastic colour, I have been spotting it in nature everywhere, in the stems of fallen leaves, and in the shoots of dogwood, that flash of Magenta as the sun is setting. Flowing in cosmos flowers. Take a moment to to observe Magenta; its pink flashes as winter draws in.
Believe it or not, the picture above was taken just yesterday!
