What have young people at Art4Space been up to recently?
Following our Sept 2025 launch of ACTION (funded by the Walcot Foundation) we have been up to plenty of new things at Art4Space!
We’ve had seven one-off workshops so far, developed by our team and guest artists, including abstract sculptures by Lucie, Nerikomi by Evie and mindful embroidery by Sean to name a few. These have been a great way to meet new under 30’s in the area, with lots choosing to do a NOCN in Personal Project as an extra qualification while learning new skills in these sessions. We have had a few new starters in the Art4Space team too, including Ruby L and Ruby H who have developed a bandana and botanical monoprinting workshop coming up this term (book for free here), so please keep an eye out if you fancy learning some new skills this spring!

Charlene and Natti have been doing a great job for our Make it Happen, ten week sustainable enterprise course, with lots of amazing recycled ceramic and mosaic projects on the way. This will be running alongside our Reaching Communities course next term too.

Artist Agency is the final provision set up for young people at the moment, that has an ‘open studio’ format where you can make the most of our space, resources and work independently on projects for as many weeks as you’d like. These have been slowly growing in popularity with more amazing people and ideas coming through the doors every week. So far there’s been some incredible abstract clay sculptures, alongside very detailed beaded jewellery, so if you or anyone you know is eligible please sign up!
If you’d like to know more about these opportunities, please feel free to read our launch press release, or drop Daisy an email to studio@art4space.co.uk with any questions.
