Wellbeing Box Project

We would like to introduce our new initiative ‘The Wellbeing Box Project’. These are beautifully constructed care packages containing 4 or 5 handmade items made by Art4Space participants.

The wellbeing boxes celebrate individuality and care, promote resourcefulness, waste reduction and place a value on craft over commercially produced products.

Help us make them

In these workshops participants will craft a handmade item such as a mosaic coaster, ceramic candle holder or a fabric brooch. The participants not only learn a new craft and gain a moment of mindfulness for themselves, they have the knowledge that they are creating a gift that will be enjoyed by a member of the community. The Wellbeing Boxes are tailor made for each destination, so will contain different items depending if they go to for example Age UK or a Refugee Charity or a Children’s Hospice.

Connecting the Community

We have seen the wonderful impact of our wellbeing boxes so far and wish to expand the idea in 2025. We believe the boxes embody our strap line – Connect/ Create / Change + Sustain.

We love making connections in the community and seeing the ripple effect of wellbeing; from all the people who make the individual pieces to each person who receives them.
